The fine art photography Tara Jelenic creates is distinctive, revealing her emotional imagery along with inspirational experiences.  She sets out on photographic journeys organically with an enthusiastic mindset, instinctually capturing moments that have become her signature artistic style.  Heavily influenced by art and music that challenges boundaries, she approaches each project as an expressionistic opportunity to realize something profound.

 

Florida born, Jelenic gravitated to art at a young age.  She completed her BFA at University of Florida, while traveling extensively throughout Eastern and Western Europe in her 20s and 30s. This time period in her life set the foundation for her love of the arts and propelled her into a lifelong quest to fulfill her passion. She continued her education by obtaining a degree in Interior Design and working in the industry under award winning designers.  Jelenic’s move to Northern Virginia 20 years ago landed her in the middle of horse country. Unbeknownst to her, two of her passions were about to collide. 

 

Largely self taught in photography, this accessible medium became the perfect tool to express herself in the equestrian world she was immersed in.  Photographs including Reflection, emulate her love for the equestrian sport and showcase her unique perspective that she brings to all of her work.  Jelenic’s photographs have been featured in local, regional, and international publications.  Her fine art adorns the walls of private homes and has been seen in local award winning businesses. Jelenic also feels strongly about contributing her time and talent to local and regional equestrian organizations.
